I really want to get back to the daily comic reviews because I want to discuss one of my favorite DC 90s comics, mostly because the problems 90s brought to the drawing table weren’t present. The art was good, the stories fun, and Adventures In The DC Universe is a great anthology title.
Tonight’s fight comes from the first issue and features two guys I haven’t used very often–Blockbuster and the Martian Manhunter–and yet probably should. Maybe if I had more comics with them in it?

“Gene” round 11
I missed round 10 but since I’m only at ConnectiCon for one day I’m making this one.
The Battlefield: Adventures In The DC Universe #1 (DC Comics; April, 1997) “Now You See ‘Em…”
The Promoters: Steve Vance (writer/breakdowns), John Delaney (penciler), Ron Boyd (inker), Bob Le Rose (colorist), and Tim Harkins (letterer)
Blockbuster wants to rob a jewelry store. Martian Manhunter wants to stop him. Let’s see who gets their way.
Blockbuster can take a punch, and can give it out too if he can find his opponent.
But J’onn has one thing on his side. Remember this fight’s title?
Believe it or not I’m calling this a victory for the Manhunter since Blockbuster ran off. Against a guy like him that’s still a victory.
