Hollywood and science tends to have a rocky relationship. Look at how they think computers work in an age where we carry them in our pockets. (A smartphone is just a little computer. Even the phone part is just another app.) And yet La La Land seems to have it out for science. Heck, Cracked.com contributor Christopher Charles Slayter point out five science fiction movies that seem to actively hate science, or at least reasoning.
