“Who switched my gun with an Airsoft pistol?”

Mobile Police Patlabor #6

FINAL ISSUE

originally published by Shogakukan, Inc

ENGLISH ADAPTATION: Yuji Oniki & Annette Roman

TOUCH-UP ART/LETTERER: Wayne Truman

COVER DESIGN: Viz Graphics

Ota engages the fugitive Labor but only manages to damage one of its four leg wheels. Then it’s Izumi’s turn, which she barely holds up with until the Labor scratches her Ingram’s arm shield. She then proceeds to tear the Labor apart, and the crooks are arrested.

What they got right: I’m kind of getting into Noa and Shinohara’s combination. They do make a good team, although they’d probably be amazing if they got along better. Overall the characters are just that darn fun.

What they got wrong: Outside of Viz treating this like a miniseries and going with a “part 2” instead of #7, not much.

Recommendation: This first set of Mobile Police Patlabor was a lot of fun between great characters and big robot mecha battles. Give this one a read.
