October 31, 1942 – March 3, 2018

David Ogden Stiers, famous for his role as Charles Emerson Winchester on the TV version of M*A*S*H as well as numerous acting and voice acting roles (including roles for Disney) has passed away from complications involving bladder cancer. I checked and this makes him the sixth actor from the show to pass on after Wayne Rogers, Larry Linville, Harry Morgan, McLean Stevenson, and William Christopher (not necessarily in that order). He also portrayed Cogsworth in Disney’s original animated version of Beauty & The Beast. Our prayers and well wishes to his family and friends.

  1. Sad news. He also portrayed Martian Manhunter in the unaired 1997 pilot Justice League of America. He was a wonderful and versatile actor who will be missed.
