No, this isn’t a patriotism discussion or “could a character like Captain America be created nowadays” kind of commentary. I mean could we in the real world actually create a supersoldier? I was going to do Captain America: The Winter Soldier for Finally Watched but then I came upon NerdSync’s latest video as he talks to an expert about whether or not it is possible to create a Captain America type super soldier. It’s both fascinating…and a little bit terrifying to be honest. But you really should see for yourself.

In the video we see these new scientific breakthroughs are being thought up to benefit humanity but without the moral and ethics debate to keep this in check it’s also very easy to see how this could be misused. I’m not saying we shouldn’t continue, but scientists don’t really think about the ramifications because they’re too excited about the science or the good things they see it can do while ignoring evil likes to corrupt all that is good in the world. I don’t fear science but I do fear some scientists.
