Dr. Lang brings Roy to a submarine that has the back-up files on his Robotechnology research. Then something takes control of the sub and Roy must go outside to destroy it. Meanwhile, the Mayor names Davies as a citizen liaison to the RDF, but Anatole only sees it as another reason to take control of the Faithful, violently if necessary!
What they got right: With no aliens to fight we’re stuck with boring old humans, but the story does a good job of making them a threat. The sub was a secret project yet someone found out about it. The mystery continues and hopefully the final reveal will be worth the investment.
What they got wrong: Since I have no issues with the story I can finally complain about something that’s been bothering me since I started these comics: why does whomever “Alphabet Soup” is keep putting their sound effects in caption boxes and with little effort in the design? It’s boring and odd this way and I really don’t like his/her/their lettering style at all.
Recommendation: We’re about to get into a war between the two factions of the Faithful and here is the last event before that happens. It’s also an interesting, if short due to the way they don’t use the space properly in this comic, tale of Roy in action and worth checking out if you come across it.
