One of the things making me question YouTube’s commitment to their core content creators is the original programming available through YouTube Premium. These include Netflix type shows like the Karate Kid spinoff Cobra Kai and a bunch of stuff I don’t care about. Unless MatPat’s Game Lab show is still going on but I can’t afford to find out. Bloomberg decided to release a rumor that YouTube was dropping these but YouTube themselves claim they’re still committed to original programming and that the Bloomberg reporter was exaggerating the whole thing. In fact they do have plans and are still looking for shows.
