Star Trek: The Motion Picture has its problems, but honestly it’s nothing a little editing couldn’t fix. Most of the problems come from padding the run time out. Get beyond that and there is a good movie in there. Fansided’s Elliot Thorpe goes over what’s good about the movie and what it inspired.
