Advance Comics was better to the smaller comic shops I tend to use.
I reference Advance Comics, the ordering catalog my comic store at the time was using, in the above comic when discussing DC’s decision to end their exclusivity deal with Diamond Comic Distributors, who releases the Previews catalog every month. That original decision killed Advance’s parent company, Capital City Distribution and as former CEO and current founder/CEO of comic and game news site ICv2 Milton Griep notes it’s an interestingly timed choice once you know more about what goes on behind the scenes and the timing involved. Like Leon said, it took them long enough to realize an exclusive distributor may not have been the best thing for them.
