Who hasn’t seen this image used in memes? It’s rather popular, and I used a meme generator to make this image. That’s how popular it is. But where did it come from? The story itself, an “imaginary story” outside of canon (in DC this would be called an “Elseworlds” tale nowadays, their version of Marvel’s “What If?”), is actually crazier than the memes involved.
Sasha Wood of Casually Comics takes us on a journey back to the Silver Age to see that time when Batman teamed with Lex Luthor, mindwiped Robin, and planned to kill Superman. Strange how some of that has become canon in separate events. (Except Batman was the one mindwiped.)
