Okay, let me see if I followed what’s going on here. Blue and Red Jets are now merged into one Orange Jet, whose “bodysuit” is purple. ‘Kay. He confronts “Clarence”, aka Green Jet, and the exposition dump begins, telling me Walker and Jones really didn’t know they were getting cut here, or I hope that’s the case. It turns out the three Jets were NOT Jets all the way (congrats if you got the reference) but a split-up Jet after an attempt to I think recreate the original Jet’s data from his time in the computer world. The experiment failed, splitting Jet.exe into three parts, but now they can bring him back to the real world. The now re-merged Jet.exe’s user comes for him (and doesn’t look like Jet) to bring him to the magic real world, and all his friends are there. (Except for what’s left of Lori, who is now part of Ma3a.) Alan is there, Flynn is there, all waiting for him. However, that will mean the end of the computer world so this Jet uses the Tron Legacy code to create an official sequel restore the computer world where he now lives with Mercury.
Yeah, I’m still confused. Luckily Landry Walker has been reading these reviews, possibly laughing at my confusion, and is prepared to explain all this. It should be up later tonight because I have questions. Did ANYTHING in this story actually happen? I mean everything all the way back to issue #1, where a false recording showed Jet killing his father after having issues with coming to terms with what happened during his time in cyberspace. The war was apparently the system not being able to deal with the Jet.exe experiment but why did this include the MCP and not the enemies from the game, and how much of even that was real? Where were Ma3a and Byte, your allies in the levels I managed to get through? I still don’t know what’s going on.
Hopefully Landry’s interview will explain a few things, and since the interview was his idea I’m guessing there was something about this project he’s really wanted to talk about. Stay tuned…or logged in, or however the term works here.
