To me it’s like the rash of evil clowns in fiction. I like clowns. As a kid when we would go to a party at Chuck E Cheese I loved the animatronics, and sometimes fed more tokens into them than the games (I had an arcade in town, not animatronic anthropomorphic musicians). I just can’t see them as scary enough to warrant all the hostility with so little pushback.
