The past few days have been a bit rough on Danica. At least she’s gotten the okay to stay aboard Sanctuary Six, but now she has to deal with a new celebrity status. Luckily she has friends in the security group to help her get out of that situation and help her deal with losing the Star Power just after she got it. Meanwhile, three surviving Void Angels wonder what their future is now that they’re basically out of business. As this goes on Black Hole Bill is being prepared to be returned to Earth for trial but he was prepared, with his ship on auto control setting up a rescue operation. Bill does manage to kill one of the guards and serious injure Grex before departing. Back on the station the devices on Danica’s hands may not be as powerless as she thinks.
What they got right: I like the bit where they find out the whole “they’ll dissect you if they find out about the Star Power” thing was outdated information and they don’t do that anymore. We get to see Danica react to no longer having the Star Power (for now) and the support of her friends. Meanwhile we see how evil Bill is and why he’s the villain of this arc.
What they got wrong: Orange-blooded alien or not, seeing the pulped remains of the cannon fodder character was a bit much for an all-ages comic. Maybe just use the reaction shot of the co-pilot checking on the brig.
What I think overall: This is still really good comic and I hope to add physical copies to my collect at some point, hard as that is for an indie comic this old.
