The Daleks only tolerated their creator because he was part Dalek. Technically they’re ALL disabled, Davies!

Should time allows I’ll be talking about…that…in a different manner this week.

In this week’s Clutter Report, enjoy the final review of Batman: Knightfall, my overall thoughts on the novelization. I’ll reveal the next Chapter By Chapter tomorrow, but this posting is going to be a bit different for a few different reasons. You’ll see what I mean.

Also this week I begin looking at the handful of Archie comics I have with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, a line that started being based on the cartoon before going its own direction. This was actually a good thing. Thanks to the show the Ninja Turtles were popular with kids but the original comic was still for older readers, what with the death and the blood and the booze and all of that. So here’s a Ninja Turtles comics that kids would better relate to and wasn’t bound by the limits of the show. A little something for everyone, but at the same time had Archie worked with Fred Wolf, imagine what they could have come up with together by keeping both in the same continuity. I don’t have of them but we’ll look at what few I have. I hope I still like them.

I’d also like to get in another installment of the Many, MANY Intros Of Spider-Man and the dive into the season one guide of Transformers: Beach Machines still has a ways yet to go. “Yesterday’s” Comic will continue for December, at least until I need to clear up space to work on this year’s Captain Yuletide, which was supposed to be LAST year’s. As far as Tuesday’s replacement for Marvel comics, I’ve reached a decision. For those of you who don’t read the old comic reviews or care about the Christmas offerings I’ll put it behind the “read more” on the homepage (no paywalls here) and you can read it there. Have a great week and possibly welcome to the site. For the rest of you…

During the month of December I’m going to shift things over. Turtles will still be on Monday, Sonic will now be on Tuesday, Wednesday will be what I grab from ComiXology, Star Power on Thursday, and The Blue Beetle’s second Fox Features run on Friday. I’m trying to clear up time to work on Captain Yuletide and this plus what I’m doing with Chapter By Chapter will hopefully help. When Christmas time is done and we’re back to the usual operations here at BW I’ll shift everything back and using…legally questionable sources…I’ll take a look at the Malibu Ultraverse. HOW I’ll be going over it is easy. As to why I’m willing to…go there is that Marvel isn’t going to do anything with those comics due to some supposed contract issues or whatever reason they’re giving so while not technically public domain the only way to read them is buying the comics, which will only pay the comic store and if I find a title I really like I may someday do that and add it to the collection. When I have more money coming in and more room in my bloated collection. (You can help with both by the way, and let my loss be your gain.)

So I found a recommended reading list online. While I’d like to just be able to look up the dates and read them as I would have when the comic was coming out, I have yet to find a website that would catalog the information so I can do so. Perhaps I will in the next few weeks. Otherwise, I’m going by that list. Note also that I won’t be going over every comic in the Ultraverse. This list includes crossovers and recommendations for “required” reading to follow the continuity, but otherwise I’m not interested in titles like Rune or Mantra and without the historical significance of the original Blue Beetle comics I’m not as inclined to continue with a series that is losing my interest unless you, the readership, really want me to–with a good reason. (“It gets better” isn’t enough because it could be a matter of opinion and I only have so much time in my life. Captain Yuletide isn’t the only comic I want to make when I’m done with the current issue.) It will be like if I had tried them out at the time. The o nes I’m looking forward to are Prime, Prototype, Hardcase, The Night Man, and Ultraforce, and admittedly the one season cartoon and the Glen Larson live-action Night Man series may be to blame, as they showed me characters I want to know more about.

So things are going to be a bit messy for Christmas as I break out special Christmas-themes articles and specials. If you know of any good Christmas special, short, or song postings on YouTube, let me know so I can consider adding them to my channel’s playlists (now accessible in a stick post on the homepage) and introducing them here. I’ll also take Hanukkah but not Kwanzaa. Sorry, while the overall message is fine, a holiday created by activist Maulana Karenga, a man who didn’t think his fellow black people should worship a “white man’s God” is below my radar. (Seriously, that’s why Just Some Guy refers to Kwanza Osajyefo as “Fake Holiday”, and JSG isn’t even a Christian. Likes to bash Catholics a lot, which annoys me as someone raised Catholic, but I do find his takes on stories interesting at least.) I do not think less of you for celebrating it, but it doesn’t feel right to me to include it in the holiday festivities, and that’s all I’ll say about that.

At any rate, have a great week, everybody! Pardon the mess but I want to get this comic done AND give you worthwhile content.
