One benefit of not being married. I never made my wife mad at me for forgetting our anniversary. Still wish I had a happy marriage and kids of my own, though.

Maybe #600 isn’t that big a milestone. Sure, it’s the longest I’ve done any comic thus far, but maybe…nah, it’s me being bad at milestones combined with the temp job helping set up a new store for opening. In this week’s Clutter Report I go into what I can take away from it besides money.

I didn’t really focus on one key aspect of this job. It got me out of the house and doing things. Lately I’ve only been able to go out to shop or visit the doctor. I wasn’t even sure that I could do stuff because I was so used to not doing it, and even the dusting took a lot out of me, though that could just be the mistake of dusting during the part of allergy season that affects me. I did a lot of physical work, which I couldn’t have done after the colon surgery, the hernia from that surgery, and the kidney stones. With all that behind me and the Crohn’s in remission, I was actually able to work on stuff. I have a sense of accomplishment and proof of my limits (and I did press close to those limits near the end of the job) that I can hopefully channel into this site and the articles, comics, and videos I want to work on, as well as the decluttering project. I’ve felt like I’ve been going through the motions, spinning my wheels lately, and now I know I am capable of doing more. That’s why I went with the temp position, to see what I can do. I might go in to help with seasonal work for a little extra cash, but I’d rather be turning the projects into something, even if not directly tied to BW projects.

This week sees me back in action, with the next chapter of Star Trek: The Vulcan Academy Murders for Chapter By Chapter, the debut of the Egyptologist re-imagine of Dan Garrett for the Friday Blue Beetle review, and whatever else comes to mind. I know what I want to do, but even with this renewed sense of work I want to be sure I can deliver on internal promises before I start making external ones, plus who knows what kind of news will come out in the next few days? Have a great week, everyone!
