Saying I’m cross about this crossover is too much like the humor in this comic.

The first story continues on from Sabrina The Teenage Witch #28. To protect her home, Sabrina sends Sonic to the top of Mount Everest. As Enchantra increases her hold on him and sends him back to town, Sabrina and Sally try to figure out how to free Sonic, and Sally has a plan. Sabrina confronts Sonic when Enchantra tries to send him to destroy her school while Sally, Salem, and Nicole travel to the Other Realm to confront Enchantra with a proposal: release Sonic or Sally will tell every villain on Mobius about the Other Realms. Enchantra agrees and then makes peace with Sabrina.

This just reminds me why I’m not a fan of Gallagher’s run on Sonic. While his story style works for the Sabrina The Teenage Witch characters, it’s a total backtrack from where Sonic The Hedgehog was at this point, and not for the better. Not a terrible story but it really doesn’t work for me.

In the second story, Evil Sonic is recruited to restore Robo-Robotnik’s Giant-Borg, with his last trip being to the world of DIC’s other Sonic cartoon, Sonic Underground, which was the show at the time. For those of you who missed it, the intro tells the story…but I couldn’t find a version that wasn’t stretched to widescreen when the show was too old for that and I hate when people do that!

It’s not as epic as the intro makes it out to be. Zonic the Zone Cop recruits the Archieverse Sonic (probably because he’s a fusion of the last two Sonic cartoons) to stop Evil Sonic, who mistakenly gives it to the wrong Robotnik. (Come on, guys, we know Robo-Robotnik is the one who sent Evil Sonic on this mission and we can tell Zonic is still another Sonic version, but sideways.) Sonic teams with this world’s Sonic and his siblings, sister Sonia and brother Manic, to stop Giant-Borg.

Frankly this story just seems to be to promote the new (at the time) Sonic cartoon. This Sonic even says he wasn’t one of the multiversal Sonics sent to build Giant-Borg, and why would Evil Sonic go to this world’s Robotnik if he knew this wasn’t the same dimension as the one who recruited him. It’s a basic story…but so was Sonic Underground, which is why it didn’t last very long.

Overall these weren’t very interesting stories. Not terrible stories, mind you, but each suffers a different problem that just leads to stories I don’t need to read again.
