Carlos Cruz is in some questionable businesses, but he’s not the target for Darkcat. A man used to work for him, a man named Taiger, who is his real target. After tangling with Cruz’s goons and nearly getting caught, Darkcat escapes, but Cruz uses his pull with the police commissioner to have the police go after him, despite his having once saved the governor. He manages to convince the officer to let him go as they have a mutual enemy in Taiger, but Cruz is getting some other help in dealing with his embarassment.
Interesting that this story is called “Heads Or Tails” since I can make neither of this story. There are events going on that either get explained next issue or come from previous comics not available to me. The art is fairly good and I can see there’s a good idea here, but I’m only partly sure what’s going on.
Also of note is that UMC uploaded this comic twice to Drive Thru Comics, so if you check it out through there I don’t think it matters which one you use. Overall, it’s hard for me to recommend this comic because I’m too in the dark about the story.
