It could be worse. It could be Amy Rose given her character arc in this comic.

In our main story, Sonic and Tails return home from Sonic Adventure 2 but Sonic’s rest has to wait when Mina arrives for more speed training. At the castle, Nate finally decodes the actual message, that Arachnis has the Sword Of Acorns. Tired of being separated from her friends, Sally sneaks out and misunderstand Mina kissing Sonic as being mutual. Heartbroken, she decides not to call in Sonic when Kodos, gone mad from the toxins of Robotropolis, breaks free to find Arachnis. Sonic learns of his breakout just as Kodos takes down Rotor and Tails, and may have even beat up Arachnis, who shows she can speak when she tries to warn Sally. Meanwhile, Sonic grabs Bunnie and Antoine to find the Sword, hoping it can restore Antoine’s dad’s free will.
I really don’t like this artwork. Everybody is way to think and lanky, not looking like the typical model designs for the characters outside of the proper visual references like their usual outfits. I also don’t care for the romantic drama. The story itself doesn’t really grab me but it isn’t terrible.
Over with Knuckles, he finds himself travelling through time, but he needs the spirit of Athair to show him that. The Dark Legion tracks Knuckles’ new powers, and then he ends up on their ship, seeking answers to the missing Floating Island. I still don’t know what’s going on here. I think I missed too much and now I’m kind of lost.
Overall I just can’t get into this issue. Maybe it’s timing with current events, but it just didn’t interest me.
