I’m just going to drop all pretense and format because this comic is not at all interesting. The main story is just our heroes still outside the city as the force field goes back up, and then reality starts bouncing around between different Archie Sonicverse timelines and even some of the video games or that anime movie nobody seems to like before reality goes normal again and our heroes are forced to leave Nate behind and wonder what’s going on. It’s such a useless story to be the main one.
The back-up continues what’s going on with Knuckles. With his new powers he can travel back in time, but his attempt to stop the meteor that caused the Floating Island to escape terra firma doesn’t work and he goes back a failure. Dimitri, sudden a lot nicer than we’ve seen him, tries to tell him that there are only three points in time he’ll be able to change. Based on the narration at the end of the first story, it’s this failure that caused the ripples in space/time that caused the events of the main story.
“Day Of Fury” this isn’t. While that event cause the story to slow a bit the stories we got (though admittedly not very memorable to me at the moment) was still more than random nonsense that grinds the main story to a halt and the back-up isn’t even worth this problem. Overall I did not enjoy this issue and I think I should have stayed away from it longer than I did.
