It’s the Wrath/Buffy crossover you didn’t know you wanted. Because you didn’t.

“A Radical Approach”

PLOT/PENCILER: David Ammerman

SCRIPT: Mike W. Barr

INKER: Rodney Gates

COLORING: Tim Duvar & Prisms

LETTERER: Dave Lanphear

Wrath returns home to his girl, Kris, unaware that he’s being watched and one of the observers is a pervert. Thomas also thinks it’s time to introducer her to his father. Meanwhile, Dr. Esquida, still unable to convince Colonel Carpenter to shelf project W in favor of his next project. So he sends the Radicals to New York, where they bide time killing the homeless, so he can send Wrath to confront them. Either they kill him or he ends up in trouble with Carpenter since the not-so-good doctor doesn’t have that authority. It turns out to be a trap but someone in a costume who claims to have dreamt this encounter steps in, shooting one in the head and helping take down the other two. All three are in custody, and based on the blurb, Wrath is about to meet up with the Freex.

What they got right: This comic seems to be about the “human” side of Aladdin, or as close as they get, with Thomas outside of his time as Wrath. We also get a new character, though whether he’s hero, villain, anti-hero, or even “she” has yet to be determined.

What they got wrong: I only know the character is named Slayer because of the cover. It’s not mentioned in the story.

What I thing overall: It’s an okay comic thus far, but I don’t really have a strong opinion either way after this issue.
