In the main story, Sonic brings the Robians home and Sally brings home the Sword Of Acorns, which doesn’t work for Elias but does work for Sally in restoring General D’Coolette’s free will. This being the last bit of evidence, Elias not quits in favor of Sally, but later runs away. Not before nanintes in the Secret Service members, already requesting time off due to injuries, cause them pain while Heavy and Bomb’s reprogramming activates, creating a whole bunch of Bomb clones to hold the royal family hostage. Sonic manages to take down Heavy while an EMP created by Rotor and Tails knocks out the Bombs.
I don’t know. While they try to raise some stakes, it’s like Bollers was just trying to wrap up everything but the Sally/Mina subplot and push to different stories. It shows in how fast things go, like he just wanted to kill ideas that had more potential with a longer run. I just couldn’t get into it.
Meanwhile, Knuckles tries to go to different points in time to alter history and save the Echidnas from ever ending up in their situation, but every point he tries leads to worse results, almost leading to the Floating Island’s destruction or echidnas being roboticized. Instead of changing the past, Knuckles, Julie-Su, and Dimitri will have to try something in the present.
Again, I took time off from this title and I can see why. Neither story really interests me and I am really confused as to the current situation in Knuckles’ adventures. Sonic’s just feels like a rush job, and it’s the hero that’s supposed to move fast, not the story. There’s a reason this series is piling up in the Clutter For Sale comics section over at The Clutter Reports. This just isn’t working for me.
