I know it’s my favorite. I like the varied Gundams and characters. It was my introduction to the franchise but most UC series (8th MS Team & War In The Pocket) just don’t work for me. Mostly because the whole “Newtype” thing feels shoehorned into the genre. I think SEED did a better job with the idea, but I haven’t seen the full series, or any of it in years. It’s also one of the reasons I lost interest in G Gundam when it introduced the “playing card” powers and change from a fighting tournament to some attempt at superheroes, which as much as I love superheroes was just a huge shift of what I was watching for. SD Gundam was fun but ultimately forgettable. That’s pretty much my history with the franchise.
