The team is in one of the safehouses in the Arizona desert training after their first mission when some of Vurk’s people come to kill him. The rest of the comic is one big set of splash pages, usually vertical instead of horizontal, as the team kills off the trio. Well, it’s a better training session than fighting each other.
Admittedly the story is way too violent for my tastes. Lots of alien gore, but necessary given what Vurk’s people are apparently like. Then again, we know nothing about Vurk or his people outside of being called Darkurians and these three serve some overlord that Vurk is on the bad side of. It’s just a big fight, and I don’t know why they made a 0 issue when they’re 5 issues in.
Frankly, unless you just want a big fight or a complete collection there’s no reason to even bother with this story.
