Yuki Vs Panda #7
Duskleaf Media (2023)

Well, this is going to be a quick summary. It’s just Yuki and the talking panda bear walloping on each other in the park, across traffic, through Yuki’s school, and that’s pretty much it. There is a cool part where Yuki has the panda tied up in a fire hose and turns it on. Panda mentions “ice cream”, which gets Yuki’s attention but he’s convinced the little girl kept that bratty memory through her teen years just because he did. I’ve missed issues, so I don’t know the significance of the locker being taken away by the legally distinct but obvious junk removal company. At this point, though I’m kind of on Yuki’s side.
The art is good and I do like the fight scene (singular), but that’s also the problem. That’s all this comic is in this issue. It’s just the panda attacking Yuki with one moment of barely moving the plot and one amusing classroom joke before going back to fighting. Kind of wondering about the two guys the panda wipes out in the credits page. That scene isn’t from this issue.
If you’re looking for a story, this isn’t it. If you want to see an angry panda fight a teenage martial arts girl with a bad attitude, then this is worth checking out.
