As they wait for Choice’s powers to recharge, she and Hardcase are attacked by Hardwire (I mistakenly called him “Livewire” last time) and Headknocker, sent by one of the Aladdin bosses while the other isn’t sure about it. Choice proves she has some unpowered fighting moves and holds her own against Hardwire until Hardcase manages to get them out of there. So now the two killers are loose. War Eagle and his party meet up with the heroes, and Hardcase promises to leave, which satisfies their bosses for now. In Vegas, the heroes actually meet up with Tech of the Solution, who manages to remotely hack Aladdin’s computers with her powers and learns something horrible–Aladdin actually took part of Starburst’s brain and put it into Choice’s!
What they got right: This may explain why Starburst is still in a coma, but what effect that will have on their budding romance (since Starburst and Hardcase were an item) we’ll have to see. There’s a lot of action in this one, and it’s pretty good by 90s art style. We also get Headknocker’s real name (if you cared), though Hardwire is unknown according to Aladdin’s files on the villains.
What they got wrong: It does mean a lot of larger panels, which is another 90s staple.
What I think overall: This is an interesting turn of events. I’m curious to see the full story.
