Cannon is on a boat thinking about current events with humans and the Black when he has another blackout, ending up on an island with a temple that seems made of ice. It’s there he fights with Taras, a traitor he was forced to kill in combat. Taras’ mother tried to bind their souls so that her son could take over Cannon’s body, but Cannon doesn’t give up so easily, leading into this series (or miniseries).

What they got right: It’s a complete story in one preview, setting up Cannon’s story to follow I imagine.

What they got wrong: Doesn’t this series have enough enemies between the Black and that crazed general that wants to wipe all the undersea people out for some reason?

What I think overall: It’s a good story, just one that feel a bit unnecessary with all the current enemies the franchise already has.
