Sadly, I’ve been lost like this before.
This is one of those gags that just came to me, but HOW it came to me is interesting. It started off with me trying to come up with a gag about R2D2 and C-3PO in the desert and having our heroes lost. The first part didn’t work but the second part had potential. And here it is.
I was also going to have Max further in denial, telling Jake he was exaggerating. But then I thought that while Max has some odd ideas he’s not necessarily stupid, certainly not so stupid that he couldn’t tell, once it was pointed out, that they were in a desert. Living in Connecticut I can tell you that if there is a bona fide desert around here it’s news to me.
