That’s how it worked for me.
This was totally personal in telling. As I mentioned before, Kevin was a character I created while I was still a cashier. When we had those donation things, I drew this character on a little sign to encourage people to donate, like a one-panel comic. He even wore the “official” shirt (which didn’t even have our logo) and apron. When the store was bought out by a local chain I couldn’t do that anymore because the company had people who decorated for sales and holidays. We couldn’t do that anymore. And so poor Kevin was out of a job. I would follow a year later, but didn’t move out to California.
Will I use him again in something someday? Who knows? Maybe by then I’ll have a character for Jeanine. She was added as a afterthought and Kevin somehow came with her.
