When certain folks say “realistic” when it comes to superheroes it’s from a cynical perspective. Why would Thor, a thunder god from another realm, fight supervillains (does he anymore?) when he should be misusing his powers like he was…well, a Greek god to be honest. Realistic is a guy who may be invulnerable being ground zero at a thunder and lightning strike not going deaf and blind. In other words superpowers are impossible as depicted. And don’t think Batman gets a pass for not having powers. He has gadgets so fantastical Christopher Nolan had to dumb them down for his movies and writers keep making him closer and closer to the loons he fights, which is a perspective on Batman I’m rather tired of seeing. But that’s for another Jake & Leon comic.
