You’ve got a long wait, Leon.
I know that adding Tom and Jerry to other movies (like WB themselves have done to the Wizard Of Oz, Robin Hood (from the Errol Flynn movies) and just recently Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory) is not an original joke at this point but I still wanted to make it. In fact, one reviewer where I saw the joke stuck with Warner Brother movies and it seemed right to stay there. I really wanted to use Saw for the movie.
I went looking for the Tom & Jerry logo and found a free vector image with the logo and Tom & Jerry themselves, and used them, slightly greying out Tom & Jerry because their colors were too bright. I’ll be posting a Patreon-exclusive close-up of the cobbled together box art that won’t be public.
And the whole “Marvel or DC” is Leon’s running gag because Jake is a huge comic fan and when it started so many stupid things were coming out of both publishers. Right now it’s only Marvel, depending on your political leanings, although I’m sure there are even some liberals unhappy with what they’re doing at the House Of Formerly Good Ideas.
