I thought this would be a good one to end my convention coverage (at least until news would start floating out of New York Comic-Con). Covering three conventions that close together took a lot of time away from the site and other projects, but this marked the return to normalcy for the Spotlight.
I actually saved this edition using the “web-safe colors”. I kind of like the effect. Jake, Leon, and later Max aren’t “on set” but in the rec room of the “studio”. (The backstory for the comic is that it’s a series of sketches performed by the characters who may or may not be have the occupations and personalities from the comic, like many internet reviewers. For example, Jake may actually be a comic artist or it could just be a character he maintains for the comic.) This makes it look like a low-quality camera was used since it’s not one of the “set cameras”. I just thought it was a nice touch and helped keep the file size down.
Also, with this being “downtime”, they actually refer to me by my real first name instead of “the author” or “ShadowWing Tronix”.
