Before Crisis On Infinite Earths Lex Luthor was a mad scientist, not an evil businessman. His thing was proving he was a genius. During the Silver Age his origin was altered so that he was a friend of Superboy (Superman as a boy, not the clone or son of Superman of recent years). While trying to come up with an experiment to protect Superboy from Kryptonite’s dangerous effects there was a fire. Superboy blew it out with his superbreath but the chemicals somehow made Lex forever bald and he swore revenge. At least Herodude isn’t involved with Doctor Monkeyface’s backstory, but when I finally do a Herodude storyline he’ll be the first big enemy.
The hard part will be doing a Herodude & Enemies storyline within the limits of the Jake & Leon formula, since this is supposed to be Jake and Max’s comic. I consider it a challenge, since it will be three panels of story and one panel of most likely Leon responding to what Jake and Max did in their comic. I’m just glad I finally came up with an enemy.
