As you can see I’m still working on learning the usage of the new graphics tablet. Actually, it’s more like learning the various pens and brushes of Clip Studio Paint and which one works best for the art style. It’s like learning which pens did the best job on which paper. It took me awhile to get a handle on that and I imagine it will be the same here. But that’s the beauty of this comic. It doubles as art practice.
It’s Jake’s hair that’s throwing me. The brush pen I usually use works differently from the stylus pen, which is more like the pens I use for other artwork. They don’t make a nib that acts like a brush, so that unique look I had to Jake’s hair is something I need to learn to emulate, since it’s also what I’ll be using for more bouncy hair and things like capes and leaves and stuff. But so far I like using the tablet.
