She’s also lucky Captain Yuletide defeated the Krampus a few years ago.
As part of my experimenting with digital work I’ve been trying different things that you don’t see in the finished product. This time I made my second attempt at a rough sketch first before drawing the comic. I still put each character on a separate vector line in each panel so I could resize the character if necessary, but didn’t need to. I also lettered over the rough (on a separate layer still within each panel) so I could better see where each character should be in the panel. This way I knew the dialog wasn’t covering something or if the characters needed to be moved around the panel. A bit more time and work but I can tweak the process as I continue on once I know what I’m doing just like when I was drawing on paper instead of a drawing tablet.
