Seriously, Linus and Franklin are the only two people I would trust to have Charlie Brown’s back, and one of them is on the opposing baseball team. He’s also the “straight man” and probably the most sane character. Which is tough sitting near Peppermint Patty in school.

There’s this group of people who’s only mission in life seems to be to find racism whether it’s there or not. I don’t know why Franklin is on the opposite side of the table during A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving and neither does anyone else except the creators. To immediately assume it’s racism means they don’t even know the character’s history. The fact that he existed in 1968 and Schultz really wanted him hanging out with his characters, especially the intended focus character, speaks against him being connected to racism. For the time, just having him there was a feat. But learning history is hard for everyone these days.

I’m not sure using the marking pen tool in Clip Studio Paint was the right way to go but I’m also not cut out to imitate Charles Schultz’s art style. Based on that it’s not bad though. I really do need to figure out what setting is off in the coloring. Look how the sky is still bleeding through Franklin’s color.
