I would love to see the events of Lego Star Wars: The Freemaker Adventures, a bit less comical–Palpatine as a giddy Dr. Evil isn’t exactly going to fit–be made part of the main Star Wars universe. I think it could benefit as far as expanding the lore of the Force as well as set a precedence for Rey so easily grasping it. Rowan was trained by watching Jedi in recordings, a few lessons from a Sith and yet didn’t turn into a Sith, and a few hours with the Maker Of Zoh. That’s pretty impressive for a hyperactive 12-year-old.
When I went to do the panel with Rowan I thought I would have to try to translate a Lego body into a normal human, but I lucked out because in the Wookiepedia entry they had concept art of a normal Rowan, which they used to create his Lego body. I didn’t see any for the other Freemakers, which would be interesting, but I’m curious if this is normal for Lego in general or just the Lego Star Wars toy or animation teams.
Even then Rowan struggles more than Rey does so being partly self-taught and partly taught by a Sith to be a Jedi (long story, watch the show) he’d probably be a great tutor by the time of the sequels.
