At least there wouldn’t be forced in nudity.
I switched this comic in mid-production with the previous one as that was more timely. I could have sworn I fixed the number to match but apparently I didn’t. So this should be #515 and #514 was the previous strip officially.
I’m not a huge fantasy fan, and thus not a huge Tolkien fan but that doesn’t mean I don’t recognize that just what we’re hearing about the Amazon Prime series isn’t going to be a bad adaptation. One of the people I follow on YouTube is a huge Tolkien fan and basically confirmed it, and he isn’t happy.
So when the gag in the first two panels came to my head and I needed enough to form a full comic I came up with the commentary in the final two panels. It’s also a throwback to the trend of de-aging characters (or aging them up in the case of Rugrats) to create a “different” show.
