Apparently it was striking season and SAG-AFTRA was the strikers this round. After going after Hollywood they even took on video games. I’m all for writers getting what they deserved, as a writer myself, but considering what they were coming out with at the time, some of the stuff they were asking for, and the union leaders seemingly unwilling to meet the studios half way, I’d say losing their projects to save money qualifies. And the studios are still finding new ways to pull the same crap, the film crews were still out of work and got nothing for it, and people who wanted to see something new didn’t see a reason to continue their subscriptions. So nobody wins in the end except the supposed enemy. Go figure.
