They didn’t get to the “strap on/in” joke yet.
I don’t care about the internet drama or whether The Marvels was any good. This deleted scene shouldn’t have been made, never mind released. Child brides among extremist Muslim groups actually exist and Kamala Khan is supposed to be 16. Child brides can be as young as 13 (maybe younger; I would rather not check) and it’s disgusting. Having the white woman being accused of it is a whole other form of insult, while Valkyrie as depicted in the MCU is a form of cultural appropriation, which I keep hearing is a bad thing. It’s still a black woman declaring a white woman has a lesbian Muslin child bride (in the comics at least her family is devout but not fanatic) and then making a “Freudian slip” (as a joke, the writers totally planned it) telling her to “strap on…I mean in”. This scene should never have been written, shouldn’t have been filled, and shouldn’t have been released even in a deleted scene.
