I don’t care what your opinion is on non-binary Morph in X-Men ’97, this is a stupid defense.
Deciding all shapeshifters are non-binary goo puddles goes against the long history of shapeshifters in science fiction and fantasy…not that they care. They also won’t watch the show but will still celebrate how “diverse it is” and then move on. It’s just another example of surface level viewing of things they don’t care about, which includes real people as much as it does fake ones.
