It really is like he never left…though I really wish he would.
I have nothing against Dan DiDio personally. I don’t like what he did to the Beast Era Transformers or to DC Comics but I don’t hate the man and I don’t know how much was the fault of some higher-up, though the pattern shows he’s still at fault for a lot. DiDio’s Darker DC was his idea and he fought everyone, including the DC fanbase, to make it happen. As I wrote about in one article many of his changes in tone and characters that survived Rebirth remain and that makes me sad.
