Robinson has actually said that he doesn’t care if fans like or hate the work, as long as their talking about them. To me that’s a stupid way to operate. Not everybody is going to like everything, and outside of the “everything for meeeeeeeee” crowd they’re not expected to capitulate to every fan out there. However, you’d think they’d try to please as many readers as possible, but all they care about is being talked about? Controversy for controversy’s sake breed poor storytelling.
