{continued from Sonic Universe #52) Sonic, Tails, Mega Man, Proto Man, and Rush are outnumbered by the Roboticized Masters and Eggman & Wily seem to be getting along again. However, Mega Man’s charge shot can still disable them…and thanks to a modification by Tails change them back. While Proto Man and the Chaotix search for a way to get into the Wily Egg our heroes prepare to rescue Doctor Light and restore the rest of Sonic’s friends. (continued in Mega Man #26)

What they got right: I like how Tails calls out Sonic on his ego after the hedgehog makes a snide comment about Mega Man’s personality. Otherwise this was all action and while that’s been the case for most of this story…what did you expect? Luckily the action is done well and I like how they came up with different weapon ideas for the Roboticized Masters and how they alter for Mega Man.

What they got wrong: This is nitpicky but it’s all I’ve got. Yardley still doesn’t do the Mega Man characters justice. In her defense she’s been drawing the Sega style for a long time while I believe the current Mega Man artist has had time in both Sega and Capcom’s style.

Recommendation: So far so good. We’re at the half-way point of this crossover and I’m digging the story. Worth picking up.

Combining Sonic and Mega Man's attack into one charge shot. Too bad it won't keep.
