Maura Flynn, one of the Big Hollywood contributors, recent examined “the case of the missing wholesome programs” and reminds us that there are still some. The same goes for comics and video games. But I wonder if it’s just a case of us on the Conservative side not hearing about them enough or just being too caught up in what’s wrong. I’ve been concerned this week if I’ve been focusing too much on what’s been screwed up lately and not enough on the good stuff. I have posts the next couple weeks in mind that continue to hammer the downslide of comics over the past few years, but hopefully also show how they can be done “right” (“right” being often a point-of-view issue, mind).

Also, I think I’ve been too focused on comics, outside of the reviews, and maybe I need to remember the other aspects of storytelling entertainment. Anyway, my point for posting a link to the article is to keep pointing out, even as a self-reminder, that there are still good shows out there, even if it’s either not to my taste, and Hollywood hasn’t completely turned to crap. I do want to promote the good stuff, even while slamming the bad, and this is something all Conservative entertainment critics should remember to do.

However, coming down on the bad stuff can sometimes be more fun. Ask Mystery Science Theater 3000 or The Angry Video Game Nerd. 😀
