On vacation this week, so all you get is this.
There’s a better quality video at Yahoo!, but Yahoo isn’t WordPress.com compatible, and I’m having trouble getting the Vodpod to work right. (If you went to my Vodpod page, you stand a good chance of getting an error message or watching it try and load forever and ever.) Saw it at Yahoo this week. Beats the “freeze mob” events you usually hear about.
According to various posters, this event was staged in March for a reality show to find a new actress to star as Maria in a production of The Sound of Music, the famous Rodgers and Hammerstein musical play based on the Von Trapp family and mostly known for the film version with Julie Andrews. (Note: I actually went to the Trapp Family Lodge during one of our family vacations to Vermont, but I was just a kid. The only thing I remember is my dad buying a biography while up there, and my dad usually just read auto manuals through most of my childhood. My love of reading came mostly from my mom.)
You know, I never thought I’d have Sound of Music, Von Trapp, or Julie Andrews as tags in one of my posts, and there they all are together.
