Still so many articles, still so little time. I seriously have an RSS backup, and luckily I don’t have a lot of energy today (written Monday), so let’s try to catch up on a few more articles.

  • Outpost Gallifrey reports that Doctor Who was voted best theme of a sci-fi series by the website Total Sci-Fi. The second link has the full list, and Battlestar Galactica (if we’re talking original series) should be ranked higher.
  • Variety is reporting that NBC has given a partial list of the upcoming fall season. Sounds early to me, but what is with this line?

But missing from the pickup list so far: “Chuck” (much to the chagrin of its passionate, Subway sandwich-eating fans)

Is that supposed to be a shot?

  • Variety is also reporting that Nascar wants to make a knockoff of the Disney/Pixar movie Cars. That will not end well for anybody, but Tinsletoon is a good studio.
  • Toon Zone has a review of a book about stop-motion animation co-written by it’s greatest master, Ray Harryhausen.
  • Toon Zone is also reporting that the direct-to-DVD movie from DC Animation, Green Lantern: First Flight has been delayed until July 28th. I still haven’t seen Wonder Woman. I also haven’t watched my copy of Shrek 2 from many Christmases ago. I’m so behind on everything. You should see the stack of DVDs–and VHS tapes–on my floor.
  • Finally, the Four Color Media Monitor reminded me of this Progressive Boink article about the 40 Worst Rob Liefield Drawings (although #31 seems to be missing). I should note the vulgarities throughout the article, but if I researched this, I would be cursing like the Angry Video Game Nerd myself. Yeah, they’re pretty bad, but the Comics of Rhodey has a few to add to the list.

And I still have more to catch up on. But I’ve got to work on those Free Comic Book Day reviews and a couple articles of my own I want to get to work on. Now if I can just get some sleep tonight.
