I’ve seen calls for this before, but I guess someone finally went for it. If you didn’t pick up any of the four comics that came out (Marvel and DC sent some stuff out last week to be put out this week), a group of independent publishers plan to put some of their stuff out, offering it to local comic stores.
The official blog for the event listed all the stores taking part. Sadly, the only one here in CT is too far away for me to check them out. But if one is your area, why not give these smaller titles a chance? Diamond won’t and that’s often a shame. Had I learned about this sooner, I would have posted this *before* the day of the event, but maybe the store will have some of these comics left over.
