Carter and Gwen want to make a pro-Spidey website. That’s the only good news. The Blonde Phantom wants Spidey and Chat to keep an eye on Wolverine, because a hair gel company wants him to be their spokesperson. This leads to another tussle with the Torrino family and FINALLY a meeting with Bullseye, who still wants to “play” with Spidey a bit more.
What they got right: My dislike of Gwen is becoming more justified, considering how she treats Chat. She and Carter are looking to be great additions to the supporting cast. We finally get the idea that Bullseye is actually doing something.
What they got wrong: But why not get to the Bullseye/Spidey fight already? The preview for next issue shows Bullseye attacking Spider-Man, but MA covers have lied before (usually in the other title). Sadly, this issue didn’t. Wolverine. I really don’t like Wolverine.
Recommendation: Another “filler” story, but a good one and at least advances the subplots. Still as worth getting as this series has ever been.

Tomorrow’s Comic: A special Fraggle Rock review, and then the Best Scene of the Week in the Weekly Wrap-Up.

Yeah, I wasn’t thrilled with the way Gwen treated Chat here, although she does seem to be warming a bit to Chat in the most recent issues.
And in all fairness to Gwen, post-Emma’s mind manipulation, Gwen was left with the false impression that she and Peter were dating, but their relationship ended when Peter chose Chat over her. So it makes sense that she would behave coldly towards Chat (even if Chat really doesn’t deserve that kind of treatment).
