Quackerjack, Bushroot, and the Liquidator have snagged Megavolt in order to reform the Fearsome Five Four. (And apparently mentioning Negaduck around Quackerjack won’t end well for you.) Drake once again assumes the identity of Darkwing Duck, and DW breaks into Quackwerks in order to find Honker and discover who is behind the company, and ends up getting some help when Gosalyn goes to get Launchpad.

What they got right: I’m rather interested in this new aspect of Quackerjack. Why does mentioning Negaduck send him into a frenzy and where did Darkwing’s opposite number disappear to? The artwork continues to resemble the show.

What they got wrong: This appears to be not from the BOOM! Kids family because it has the usual “Studios” logo. Also it’s $3.99 instead of the $2.99 price. I didn’t even notice this last issue, since I was just happy to see a Darkwing Duck comic. The BOOM Kids logo is like “Marvel Adventures” and Johnny DC. This is how parents know what comics are good for their kids. This is in line with the show, which means it’s a kid-friendly comic. Reflect this, please. You even have the “Kids” line info in the back.

Recommendation: Whether for adults or kids, fans or not, it looks like a great superhero title in the tradition of the show. I recommend it very much.

That's how Batman gets his anti-shark bat-spray, too.
