The Muppet Show: The Comic Book #9
BOOM Kids! (August, 2010)
WRITER/ARTIST: Roger Langridge COLORS: Digikore Studios COVER COLORIST: Eric Cobain LETTERER: Deron Bennett EDITOR: Aaron Sparrow DESIGNER: Erika Terriquez
The Muppet Theater hosts Calistoga Cleo & the Fandango Pharaohs, an act that Statler and Waldorf know from their younger days. It turns out that she has a taste for older men, like their age. As the two fight over her, they learn that she is the very same performer from the old days.
Skits include: Fozzie’s stand-up, Calistoga Cleo’s performance, Muppet Labs, “Link Hogthrob, Monster Smasher”, and a duel between Statler & Waldorf.
What they got right: Now and then Statler and Waldorf make for an interesting focus, and they’re used well. I still want to see “Monster Smasher” make a return after this arc someday.
What they got wrong: Songs still don’t work in text.
Recommendation: As always, a great read for any Muppet fan.

Can't argue with that. Or she'd hurt me.
